TankBase acts solely as a platform and does not buy, sell, inspect, or guarantee any products listed by users.

TankBase is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

By using the marketplace you acknowledge that:

• Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for completing transactions.
• Sellers are responsible for ensuring listings are accurate, lawful and truthful.
• Buyers are responsible for checking items before purchase where possible.
• TankBase does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or condition of any item listed.
• TankBase is not responsible for payment disputes, delivery issues, damaged goods, fraud or losses arising from transactions.

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

The AI Tank Assistant is provided for informational purposes only.

While we aim to provide helpful guidance, AI-generated advice may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your individual aquarium.

Every aquarium is unique, and water chemistry, livestock compatibility and husbandry requirements can vary significantly.

You agree that:

• AI recommendations should not replace independent research or professional advice.
• You are responsible for all decisions regarding your aquarium.
• TankBase accepts no responsibility for livestock loss, equipment damage, water quality issues or financial losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

TankBase allows users to record and monitor aquarium data.

Graphs, trends, reminders and parameter guidance are intended as helpful tools only.

TankBase does not guarantee:

• The accuracy of user-entered information.
• That recorded parameters are suitable for any specific species.
• That alerts or recommendations will identify every issue.

Users remain responsible for testing, maintaining and monitoring their own aquariums.

By using TankBase you agree to:

• Provide accurate information.
• Keep your account secure.
• Treat other users respectfully.
• Comply with all applicable laws.
• Ensure any livestock sales comply with relevant animal welfare legislation.

You must not:

• Post fraudulent listings.
• Sell prohibited or illegal items.
• Upload harmful software or malicious content.
• Harass or abuse other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to TankBase systems.

All TankBase branding, logos, software, website content and original features remain the property of TankBase unless otherwise stated.

Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant TankBase permission to display that content within the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TankBase shall not be liable for:

• User disputes.
• Marketplace transactions.
• Loss of livestock.
• Aquarium damage.
• Equipment failures.
• Incorrect AI advice.
• Loss of profits or income.
• Data loss.
• Indirect or consequential losses.

Your use of TankBase is entirely at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove accounts that:

• Breach these Terms.
• Engage in fraudulent activity.
• Abuse other users.
• Attempt to compromise the security of the platform.
